As you may or may not know, Ethel M Chocolates was founded in 1981, when we made our first batches of chocolates using the recipes of Ethel Mars dating back to 1910. For a lot of our chocolates, those recipes have still never changed. I mean, you can’t improve on perfection, am i right?
But, you may have noticed a few recent additions to our chocolate portfolio, including Dark Chocolate Cherry Cordials and Dark Chocolate Agave Tequila Liqueurs (with plenty more coming soon, don’t you worry). So who’s the mystery chef creating these deliciously new and innovative chocolate recipes? Well, look no further. We’re proud to introduce you to our new Chief Chocolatier, Mark Mackey.
Mark Mackey is the Chief Chocolatier of Ethel M Chocolates. Prior to joining Ethel M in 2015, Mark spent 10+ years in Product Development R&D for Mars Chocolate North America, where he helped create over 100 products for Dove Chocolate Discoveries. (You can see why we liked this guy, right?)
Mark has a degree from the Culinary Institute of America in New York and enjoys spending time listening to live music, playing golf, and cooking.
